The wonderful city of Jaipur is ethnically lively. People are colorful and vibrant. They exactly know how to fuse modernity with traditions. They never fail to keep the legacy of the regal history intact. Even if the city is fast rising as a metropolitan hub, it holds customs and traditions pretty close to the heart. The apparels worn are mostly dependent on the time of the year and the climatic conditions. However, do not pack shorts or revealing clothes if you are planning on visiting this culture rich city. Summers in Jaipur exceeds 45^oC at times. It mostly remains dry and humid. Winter temperatures on the other hand go as low as 5^oC. The rainy season is complimented with thunderstorms and dust. But does not last for long.

What you plan on wearing will depend on the time of the year you plan on visiting the rich heritage city. For summers, light colored, loose cotton clothes will be most ideal as they can easily absorb sweat. Also try to avoid dark colors and skin fit clothes. They might cause skin irritation due to the scorching heat faced during the season. Carry sunscreen lotions, hats and caps and keep yourself hydrated at times. And yes! A big ‘no’ to synthetic clothes. Also pack a few heavy clothes for night time as the temperature falls down and become a bit chilly during the night.

On the other hand if you plan on visiting Jaipur during winters, carry light clothes for daytime and heavy woolen clothing for the night. This is because winter days are bright and sunny and night unbelievably cold, sometimes as low as 3^oC.

However, the best time to visit the Pink City is during the winters i.e. from October till March. The weather during this time of the year is most pleasant. You can go for all the sightseeing you want without the need to face the scorching heat of the semi arid barren land.
